I went to a
Garden Club of America lecture on the use of heirloom plants in the garden design specifically in mid-Mississippi and in
Eudora Welty's garden a couple weeks ago and it was wonderful. As was Ms. Welty's house and garden. Everyone calls her Ms. Welty down here because they remember her which is quite sweet. Her house is a bit Granny but very light and open. These pictures of her house make me want to read, write and garden.
Read the NYT article about the restoration and reopening of her house
here.
