Above is the De Beers Millennium Blue Diamond, all 5.16 carats of it. It's currently on display at Sotheby's New York before it is sent to Hong Kong where it will be placed on the auction block and is expected to fetch an unfathomable amount of money. We all know I am a magpie for shiny things so perhaps I shall have to pay it a visit after work.
