Pansy is my hot crush at the moment. I found it on the sales rack at a department store outlet for a steal, which is probably a good thing because I simply don't see how I could live without it. I will wear it every day this summer. EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Gap Joygasm

I just bought this skirt from the Gap and it fills me such spring joy. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's actually a lovely pink/lavender-grey color that would be beautiful with a white top and T-strap sandals. I need to wear this now. I'm so done with winter.
See? It's much prettier off the website.
Snow and Sweaters
Today was a snow day in New York City. Due to a foot and a half of snow, even the public schools were closed, an event almost unheard of. After the necessary shoveling I stayed in for the rest of the day watching Marie Antoinette, a lovely present from Hannah, drinking tea, and knitting. I'm THIS close to finishing my first sweater. All that stands between me and a cozy sweater of joy is a few live stitches on the hood and the underarms that must be joined by the Kitchener stitch, which I tried to learn tonight but must resume tomorrow. It's not hard but its a bit complex and gets quite confusing. This video helps considerably. I will post pictures tomorrow when it's finally finished and I can call myself a real knitter.
Chocolate Macaroons for Two
I am minding a sick child today. She might have bronchitis. She might be drowning in her own lungs. These are her concerns. In order to heal we went to Harkins Bakery on the Canton Square and bought chocolate macaroons, we put them on a nice plate of our Dearly Departed Grandmother's and consumed. They were delicious. You should get some macaroons too.
Isaac

It is entirely possible that I have been bamboozeled by the article in Vogue and the styling on the Liz Claiborne website, but I seem to have developed a strange and peculiar love for Isaac's new Liz Claiborne situation. The Belk website doesn't make it look nearly so alluring but something about the above dress (maybe just the fact that it's a fellow chubby girl IN the dress) makes me think that it would be an excellent choice.

I also have a pathalogical desire to look like my gran in Roatin in the late fifties so perhaps that's my problem/Isaac's genius. Remember Isaac on Style? He told everyone to wear camel head to toe and "just put opaque tights with that" and coo-ed over Dolly (how do I love thee Dolly!) Sigh, I'm going to need to buy Isaac's shenanigans...
